Observing Logs
This article has been read 4760 times | Comments

Here you'll find observing reports from my observing sessions, plus reports of any special events of interest.

Having a plan of what to observe ensures that you don't waste time simply jumping around from object to object, and your plans can be tied in with phases of the moon and time of night when they will be visible.

Keeping a log of your observing session helps to really take notice of what you're looking at through the eyepiece, as you are forced to describe in detail what you see (sometimes combined with sketches), and you can compare notes against previous sessions, to see how equipment or eyepieces changes your observing experience.
