Craft Right case from Bunnings.

Was at Bunnings yesterday and found a Craft Right safe case.
The astronomical high price for this was $65.00
For this size it is very cheap with pluck foam and four latches.
Photo's below.
Bunnings should start paying us for all the free advertising

It might fit an EQ6. It doesn't fit a G11, and a Pelican case which does is about 8 times the price.

Is that the one I paid $89 for a month or two ago. Yes, bugger, it is!

EQ5 head and counterweight bar fit nicely inside it.

Hi All,

These are great cases but do be carefull when purchasing.

I found out that these cases and other similar ones with slightly different labels and latches all come from some large runs of defect batchs.

The units do not quite seal as advertised.

That being said, for the price they do seal, well enough to keep the general elements at bay and they are still good for shock resistant packing .

Went to my local store ( Mt Waverley in Vic )
and they had a full pallet of em
( now minus one )

With only mm to spare.
Realistically, if you want to put an EQ6 in the case,
you would want to remove the Dovetail head section
or the lower part of the weight bar, just to get a little clearance.
Have attached a piccy of the fit

Just picked up two cases from the Claremont WA store.

Both were as advertised, seal well and sturdy latches. Two places for padlocks (one on each corner). Much better than average construction (I was not expecting much, thus am quite pleased).

The foam in the case top was not cut tight enough, so it tends to fall down as you open the case, double stick tape should do the trick there.

Picked one up yesterday for the eq6, Imo the tighter it fits in the case the better. Thanks for the heads up.

Damn my Midland store has none. Only the yellow case made by Kincrome. ( $85) not big enough to fit EQ6.
When I asked they had various responses. " umm yeah try over there" and " ask over at the tool shop" etc etc.... might try the weekday crew....

Bunnings Keysborough had a pallet load - (now slightly less ).

The price on the sign on the pallet was $90 each, but when scanned at the register were only $65 ...

Not bad quality for the price ...

Bugger!! Went to Bunnings today, look around and bought a padded case/box and got it home, but wrong one.
Bought a 'yellow' Kinchrome at about $60 but quite small.
Wont go astray though.

I picked one up today at Bunnings near Granville in Sydney. Its black and cost $65 at the check out. Weird as the shelf showed it as being more like $89.

Great value, as I bought a Pelican case a while back, which is very similar and it was more like $250 or more.

Greg.
