A stunning Pluto occultation

You may be wondering why the telescopes are pointing so high in the sky, when Pluto is something like 15 degrees lower. That's because we were hoping Antares would poke through the cloud to be able to synchronise on, to get started. Antares did not, not in the 2 hours we waited.

Oh well, can't say we didn't try!

Anyone have success?

No Imaging here,but I spent quite a long time tonight observing the field of Pluto with a 6mm Radian, I am sure I have the Planet

but will observe it over the next few nights to see if I am correct

Hi Roger,

Yes, there are two positives now. Both from NZ and it would seem that there was a 3/4 path width shift to the south. I'm just waiting for the OK to post a preliminary result from John Talbot.
