May Photo Challenge - Entries (Post them here)

The topic this month is: "Knife, Fork or Spoon."

As usual, one entry per person and the image must be your own work.
Normal forum image size applies.

The image doesn't necessarily have to have been taken this month but we do encourage you to go out and enjoy the challenge.

Good luck and good shooting.

I thought I should disclose that this image is not a simple shot; it is a focus stack of 10 images taken to obtain the required depth of focus from back to front, something not possible with a single shot.

Canon 40D, 100mm F2.8 macro lens, off camera flash through a thin white sheet with the cutlery lying on a large, ceramic floor tile.

Captured on 9th May. Stacked in “Helicon Focus” and finished in CS4. I had fun with the project, not to mention a little frustration, so thanks for the brain teaser Dave!

Cheers

Dennis

PS – Couldn’t decide between K, F or S, so I chose the lot!

Not an original idea, but wanted an excuse to play with my umbrellas and off-camera flashes. For some reason when I saw the mandate, this idea popped into my head.

swiss army Knife

Well where would you all be without one of these!I this is my favourite knife, and I own lots different type of knives living in the bush requires a few different good knives. But this one is in a little leather pouch on my belt all day everyday. This one is a 'Victonox' brand the best!,it even has a tooth pic holder inside it.

Anyhow is a quick pic taken about 5 pm today,with 50D with 17-55 F2.8 L lens

at f2.8 at 1/50th sec,the focus locked right on to the hyroglphics on the blade in the the poor light.
