This is also a very nice object for small scopes but often gets overlooked in favour of its more illustrious neightbour, 47 Tucana. In small scopes, it exhibits a marked central condensation and starts to look granular in my Orion 80ST and 102mm f/5 refractor at higher powers although there is no resolution (well maybe some outer stars resolved in the 102mm). I get good resolution even at lower powers in my C6 from dark sky sites although the glob does not fully resolved. It is pretty much resolved down to the core in Andrew's (astro_south's) 12.5" truss dob. I have sketched this object from Ron's dark sky site at Cambroon and will upload it when I get the chance.

47tucs little brother, its quite bright in the core just like 47tuc and I could reslove quite alot of the central stars. the glob actually showed in my finder as what looked like a bright star which i found amazing.
I started with my GSO SV 15mm but the core looked too bunched and more like a single blob, but bumping the magnification up resloved quite a bit.

Nice report David! This is one cluster I make a point to visit everytime I have a look at 47 Tuc. It is a neat little globular cluster that would be more well know if it weren't situated so close to the number two glob (some would dispute this even) in the sky.

First time I saw NGC362 I thought it was 47 Tuc Very nice G/C though.
