After moving from WA to SA, I have finally started to get settling into life in general. I completed my degree in Electronics Engineering and got a job in Adelaide as a systems design engineer.
Finally got my old gear unboxed and started to get some imaging from the back yard. Seeing has been reasonable apart from the clouds.
Simple 120-sec subs about 20 lights and corresponding darks, flats and bias frames. There is only a quick process using Dartable and Gimp after DSS.
Will be looking at learning real processing techniques in the next few weeks to improve the images and maybe go back on some older one.
Should post this in the beginner's forum, as I am learning how to process using different software.
Here is the same image staked using SiriL and processed using Gimp. I would rather spend my money at the moment gathering equipment before spending on Software.
Capturing was from my Canon 450D, with PHD2, APT and EQMOD on my HEQ5.
