Partial solar eclipse 13 July

Friday July 13 2018. I was lucky to capture today's partial solar eclipse as the sun was covered by fog and cloud all morning (also 3C). The fog started to clear as the eclipse began at 1.08 pm (AEST). I was observing from Castlemaine in central Victoria. The series of pics shows progress (times are on each picture). All single exposures thru a WO 81 mm refractor with a herschel wedge (540 nm filter) and Canon 550d camera. Eclipse ended at 1.31 pm. Max was at approx 1.20 pm. Thanks for viewing.

Well John,

We observed it from Clayton Bay today too. It was the same small bit taken out of it. I'll leave it to Andrew Wall to put up our results.

13th July Partial Eclipse

Nice sequence of images John. We both got to see it on pretty much the same equipment and lucky we could see this rare eclipse. The WO 81mm is a wonderful telescope. Thanks for sharing your images of the event. Cheers from Peter
