Make yourselves welcome in our cosy clubroom with a cuppa, a chat, and then out on the field for dark sky
We always welcome ALL visitors

We have several takers from Melbourne coming up on the 19th.
More the merrier. Come along and join in.
If you want to stay over, you can sleep in the clubroom with others staying over or even bring a tent. There are no accommodation fees.
Among the usual observing & possible imaging, I am going to be doing a Comet McNaught search
Non Forum members that are visiting this site can contact me at ken.james1 at bigpond dot com, or just turn up.

I'm still planning to come, Ken, with my humble binoculars and with hopefully one, maybe two other newbies with me. It'll be interesting to see the place with others present - I just had a few magpies in the trees and dogs in the distance last time.
Seems to me you'll have to chop down a few trees to see Comet Mcnaught??

We've got a clear view of the south west Eric. We don't view from the Tennis Court but from the footy ground.
Where we park our cars on the other grass area has a great south west view

Yes, I may come. It will be a good oppotunity to meet some people for the first time.
I am bringing a 60mm fluorite that I bought in HK last July here.

friday
However, the prospects may not be good. The forecast is for clouds and I don't get to leave central Melbourne until 7pm.

Would have loved to come along but this new moon w/e is looking like a complete write-off as far as astronomy goes.
Who would have thunk comets can bring so much rain?
