Hi folks,
This is a relisting with a price drop down to $650.
I'm looking to sell my C8 OTA. It's in v.good condition, a scratch on the tube from taking it out of the fork mount. No finderscope or tube rings included, basically what you see in the photo's. The telrad base is stuck on with 2 sided tape, and i have not tried to take it off, so it's going as well.
PM me if interested.
For folks looking for such a scope this seems like quite a reasonable offer.
It mght be a good idea to include some more detail like: how old? what sort of coatings on the corrector? is there much mirror flop or focuser shift? etc etc
It's also a great idea to include some planet/DSO pics taken with the scope, if you have them?
I think that is a fantastic offer - personally if I hadn't just bought a C9.25 I'd jump on that opportunity in a split second.
Can I suggest you inform folk whether this fork mounted scope can be readily attached to a normal EQ mount - e.g. with rings and a connector bar - might make selling it easier if you can appeal to a wider audience!
Hi people,
well a number of responses have come thru. I believe the C8 will attach quite easily to a EQ5/EQ6/Losmandy... as I did check up myself. Bintel + others, can supply dovetial plates that screw to the tube, then onto the eq mounting. This was going to be my option, but I want to go back to big aperture and a 12" dob...
But I have to sell "something" as I've been told...
I was looking at getting a dob but my wife would kill me if I dragged another scope into the house, the sct is small enough for me to hide, so if you can contact me Mark I will buy it!
PS does anyone else have a problem with their partners and scopes?
On a more business like post, get back to me Mark by PM and well arrage payment/delivery.
Chris,
certainly is..If you're travelling from Cooma to Sydney, you are almost driving right past Think of the money you could save in postage..
As I've mentioned before, (I think), it's the OTA only, no mounting attachment's of finder.
Thanks Mark. I'll see how I go over the next day or two. It's a heavy month with insurance and new vehicle rego (bought a Mitsubishi "Delica" 4WD van to drag telescopes around in), and I certainly don't want to promise anything that would hold you up if you got another bite. I understand that you need to settle quickly.
I actually live about 5 minutes from Appin during the week, so I'm about half an hour from your place by the sounds of it. I'll get back soon!
