HEQ5 + SkyWatcher ED100 Pro

Selling an older style Heavy Duty HEQ5 with a SkyWatcher ED100 Pro. Bought it four years ago for visual purposes more than photographic, hence the standard HEQ5 over the Pro version. It is rated at 13.5 kg like the Pro version, only difference is that it is black and doesn't have SynScan.

The telescope is optically identical to the Black Diamond doublet ED 100, the only difference is that the Pro version doesn't have the 10:1 focuser. On the plus side, it is an awesome gold speckle colour!

This package has:
• Heavy Duty HEQ5
• SkyWatcher ED100 Pro F/9
• 2 x 5.1 kg counter balance weights
• Motor Control Handset
• Battery Pack for 8xD size batteries*
• 10mm Plossil Eyepiece
• Dovetail plate or whatever it's called
• Hand made exceptionally crafted Hartmann Mask made from the pure light material Mitheral which was forged in the fires of Mount Doom by my army of Hobbit slaves fed on nothing but Elven bread**

It is a setup that it more directed towards the visual observer but it can be used for astrophotography, just doesn't have SynScan and cannot have PeC training, not without doing some modifications anyway.

Looking for $1000 + Postage

$650 for ED100
$450 for HEQ5

* Comes with 8 virtually new and unused batteries for pickup only.
** Okay, may have been made from heavy matting one night with a blade.

Optically those SkyWatcher 100EDs are wonderful. They're no Tak, TEC or AP but they're really nice

These are just a few images taken with this equipment. The first was taken with my D700 and a 24-120 F/4 lens mounted onto the mount, 110 x 30sec images at 112mm F/4.
The other two are taken unguided with a ST2000XM on the 100ED F/9.

Had a question about flatness without a flattener of the 100ED. This is taken from the bottom right corner of the Omega Centauri image.
