A brief Ceres animation

I made the most of last nights clear skies by trying to image planets, asteroids, and galaxies, so here's the start of the session.

Two widefield images through the ED80 with the 300D of Ceres, half an hour apart.

2 x 3x120sec ISO800, converted, calibrated, flat application, aligned and stacked in ImagesPlus. The 2 final images were then aligned in ImagesPlus and then exported to PS for curve treatment and final alignment, cropping and saving as jpegs. Animation in Advanced Gif Animator.

So do I Ron. I'm looking forward to spending the night filling my laptop hard drive up

Is it alright with you, if it's fine, to stay Sunday night as well?

Great animation Paul,
I think they are fantastic. I'm going to have to read up on the technique and try some for myself, maybe Uranus or Neptune for starters.

great stuff
