Uranus & 4 moons - repost in COLOUR

Hello,

Here is the modified 3 pane composition of Uranus and 4 of his moons; Ariel, Umbriel, Titania and Oberon.

The Uranus colour in Pane 1 was provided by re-sampling the Meade LPI image from Pane 2. My lack of skills and small image scale prevented me from blending the disc in more seamlessly.

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks guys. I just noticed that my poor colour blending attempts have left a ring around Uranus.

I would just like to formally announce that this definitely is an imaging artefact and not the first ground based amateur image of the rings of Uranus.

Cheers

Dennis

Good colour ! That's really quite nice. Nice and clear too, looks like you had fairly good viewing conditions.

Roger.

I was about to ask if they were the rings.... was thinking that is truely an amazing shot (not that is itsnt), and how much better a 9.25 is over a 8"....

It is a great shot though even if they arent the real rings....

It would not have surprised me in the least if you WERE the first to capture these, Dennis
