Nebulae of the LMC.

Hi,

Thought I'd try a different approach rather than a mosaic at this stage with the LMC.
This may be of use to fellow astro photographers that may want to image some of these nebulae of the LMC, as they seem rarely imaged.

I've provided a link to my photobucket site that shows a larger image.

Equipment used.
8” F/4 astrograph , baader type coma corrector,. HEQ Pro 5 mount, orion mini guider.
Camera.
Unmodded Cannon 1100D.

7 x 8 minute subs ( round panels ) ISO 1600, darks, flats and bias frames applied.

7 x 8 minute subs, ( Large image ) ISO 1600, 4panels at f/6 220mm.
Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker .Processed in Photoshop 7.

Cheers,

Justin.

Great idea Justin, I would love to get first light on the new camera at either the Bean or the Dragons Head, but with new equipment comes the dreaded cloud curse.

Thanks Justin!

Your 16" should be ideal for LMC nebula, can't wait to see the results.

Cheers,

Justin.
