Eclipse at Trinity Beach

Although dissappointing on missing the total eclipse with great friends from the Newcastle Astronomy Society, the Maitland and Wangi camera clubs Liz and I had a great time.

The photos below show where we setup at Trinity Beach Blue Lagoon Resort. The last few were taken at total darkness.

Words cannot discribe the emotions everyone felt at that time.

Yes what can I Say, The sky was to die for...pitty it was in the wrong direction.

While i was busy trying to capture the eclipse my wife Liz snapped the best shots 7 & 8 in 2 we all had high hopes....

Hi Chris - Peter here.
It was great to meet you up there and nice to see some pictures of our location. Thanks for posting them. It was certainly an experience even though we missed totality.

Hi Chris, great images thank you for sharing. The next NAS meeting is on the 7th December if you could email me your images I would love to show them to members at the meeting. I have made a video of the event and will be showing it at the meeting
Peter, you're right was a great experience none the less I will never forget the totally fun time I had in Cairns with you guys

We missed totality but still had a great time, thanks for the pic,s , hope to catch up soon, maybe the next nas meeting?
