Venus through the clouds.

Waiting this morning for the clouds to clear as the sun made its way across the Mudgee skies.

Celestron 80mm Achro with Baader photographic film and Nikon D90.

Third shot I threw in a Ha filter for a bit of fun.

Love the first shot, you never see this perspective with venus only ever the moon.

Well done.

Pete,

That first shot is a cracker! If one didn't know any better, they'd be forgiven for thinking it's the Moon!

A few of the kids at the school blurted out "I can see the moon!" when looking at the sun through the clouds, so the moon was getting mis-labelled all over the place today.

The plants in front are the tops of the poplars across the road from my house, it gave us some nice moody views while waiting for the clouds to clear.

Thanks guys.
It is perfectly clear today of course!
I am happy that I got to see it at all though, the week leading up was all rain and sleet.

I like that first shot Peter and the others are fine given the conditions, and its shows you got to see it.
