I know I'm a fish out of water in this corner of IIS, but I had some fun with my digi camera, Jupiter, and some incredible seeing in Brisbane earlier tonight, and thought I would share.
I rattled off quite a few shots, and as the planet was flying through the eyepiece most of them were very blurry. I got lucky with a few and I have attached two for your amusement. They are not up to the high standard usually posted on this site, but for what they are I'm quitely happy with the results. Might be time to invest in a webcam

. The view through the eyepiece was absolutely amazing - close to the best I have ever seen.
Details are as follows:
12.5" F6 dob, 8mm Radian eyepiece coupled with a 2x Shorty Plus barlow and some extra zoom on the camera. Canon A40 2Mp camera with macro and everything else set to auto. Camera was completely handheld so lot of patience used. Seeing was absolutely great
I have done no processing, or stacking of any kind - these are just single shot afocals, so feel free to have a play and repost your results - I look forward to seeing them.
Hopefully the experts in Brisbane were taking advantage of the seeing too and will post images similar to the incredible eyepiece views I was having
