Boobies!

Here are a few snaps of boobies spotted on our recent trip to the Galapagos. All taken with the awesome Canon 70 - 300mm L lens. I absolutely LOVE this lens.

1. Nazca Booby portrait

2. Nazca Booby chick having a bad hair day!

3. Red-footed Booby having a yell

4. Red-footed Booby in flight

5. Blue-footed Booby showing what he's got!

A nice set Jason. I really like the BIF (boobie in flight). It's well frozen, well focused and the under-wing lighting is good.

I bought this lens as well a few weeks ago and it is really razor sharp even at full aperture !
I made some nature pictures with it.
I can even take sharp photos indoors @ 1/15 sec ISO 3200 thanks to the 4 stop IS.

I'll use it for astronomical use as well as the vignetting at full aparture is low particularly on a crop sensor.

Thanks everyone, yes, it was an awesome trip indeed.

David, the BIF shot was taken at around mid morning on the beach in Darwin Bay, the sun was reasonably high and VERY powerful, so the upward reflection from the sand lit the underside of the bird quite well.

Cheers,
Jason.
