ISS and night sky video

Shot tonight with a Canon EOS 600D, 30mm Sigma lens at f/1.4, 4fps at 1/4sec exposures, replayed at 30fps. Sorry about the jerkiness!

Fantastic video Tom

What was the fast moving light zooming across the sky at the end? A low flying Plane?

Interesting Vid Tom, looks great ! I watched the ISS also, found it really sped up toward the end as it entered the earth shadow overhead ! Plenty passes also atm, like 8 over next 3 days for SEQLD ! !

Thanks guys. The ISS goes red as it fades into shadow, something I've noticed a few times before.

The video is effectiviely sped up about 7 times (recorded at 4 fps to get a decent exposure and played back at 30 fps). I used the Magic Lantern firmware to enable the longer exposure during video on the 600D. The fast moving object at the end is a jet aircraft flying past.

Here is a slowed ("only" 3.5x speed) version of just the ISS pass:
