Do you suffer from scope envy?

Not sure if this has been posted before but this is Meade's new telescope.

http://www.meade.com/maxmount/index.html

Might buy myself a couple.

Although I am new to astronomy is begs the question as to why?

Oh boy, do i suffer from Telescope envy, if i compare anything on the market against my little Tasco i feel like having a good cry at times. The bottom line is that i am so happy with my little Tasco and having so much enjoyment with it. It will be good when the day comes to go bigger and better but till then i am just having a ball with what i have.

Peter, Stick to your Tasco until it runs its course then you will get the most from your larger, shiner new scope. With your skies it probably equals a much larger scope for most of us.

As for my scope envy, I'm happy with a modest scope and scrounge looks through the monsters at star parties. That way I don't have to set them up and I am half way home at the end of the night before they are even loaded into the car. A bit cheeky but who cares, it works for me

Funny that ever since I got my 10" GS dob, I have not had scope envy. Guess I am just a down to earth guy and knows his limits...NOT

As much as I love my Dob. I would really like something with a goto. Every time I buy a sky and telescope I look at the mead with goto and wish I had that, but then I look at the price and see why I don't have it. Oh well.

Push-To is pretty amazing. A lot faster and imo a lot more convenient than Goto.
