Skywatcher 12 Inch GOTO Dob plus Astrozap Shroud *** Price Drop $1,650*** Adelaide SA

Skywatcher 12 Inch Goto Dob

Purchased from Adelaide Optical (authorised Skywatcher dealer) in May 2011.

Simply, this scope is great. The goto is spot on with objects easily within field of view of a 24mm Panoptic. As for tracking, deep sky objects remain central for 10's of minutes. Recently I had Eta Carina remain central in my 13mm Nagler for over 15 minutes (then went on to another object)...

Included accessories,
  • 9x50 finderscope
  • 25mm and 10mm Plossl eyepieces
  • 2" eyepiece adapter
  • homemade dew shield
  • Astrozap Light Shroud
For a 12 inch scope, it is literally grab-n-go. I transport the complete unit in one go with a trolley (see photo).

Any inspection welcome (metro Adelaide). Obviously due to size, I would prefer pick-up. I do have all the original packaging/boxes.

Price Drop : $1,650.

I have also included a couple of images taken with the dob (see below).

Great scope. I have one myself, but this isn't likely to sell at the same price as one that can be had brand new.

Hi Stu,

Agree... excellent scope. I did check pricing at a couple of the authorised dealers (as they provide full 5 year factory warranty). Currently Bintel are advertising them for $2399. The light shroud from Astrozap is another 120 to 130 dollars. Over $2500 at curent prices

Cheers,

Daniel

If its "go-to", can't you teach it to 'go-to' Melbourne?
Nice scope!

I would consider trading for a C9.25 OTA (with CGE dovetail) in equivalent condition if anyone is interested.

Hey guys..........sorry.... but for now prefer to keep the shroud with the scope.

The shroud does work very well by the way. Also, in case someone may drop something....acts as a barrier to the mirror!

Cheers,

Daniel

Hi, I am interested in buying the Skywatcher 12"

Hello I googled Skywacher and came across your advert. I guess firstly is your telescope still for sale? I live in Kimba, SA and am coming to Adelaide on Monday week and could pick it up then. Regards Averell.
