Maximum eclipse from perth

The clouds parted long enough for this shot, in between covering the gear during brief rain which was around

10 seconds @ ISO 800, Williams Optics FLT-132 and canon 7D.

This was one of the darkest eclipses I have seen to date

Grahame.

Sweet Shot!, Weather was garbage here. Managed to get a couple short glimpses but not long enough for any good pics :/

Beautiful shot. So many star occultations with stars in that one. Great depth!

Tried to get out but the rain headed in about 3:00 and gave up. Should have stuck with it. Couldn't find my cover for my gear.

Awesome!!

With your 7D at ISO 800, will noise become a serious issue? Mine seems to have significant noise problem even at ISO 640.
Any suggestion / comment?

thanks.

Great Shot you lucky swine, I stayed up most of the night trying to get a couple of images but all we had in the Swan Valley was cloud, cloud, rain and more rain

Fabulous image Grahame. You really made the best of the conditions.

I agree, it was darker than I was expecting. Fantastic to see the moon among the stars.

awesome awesome and awesome capture

Hopefully someday I'll gain the skill to capture such beautifully focussed eclipse shots.

The darkness of the total eclipse + dew made it frustratingly difficult for me to get a focussed image via my canon 400D + 300mm lens.

Well, will try again in Dec 2011.
