Exclamation CWAS "David Malin Awards", 2011 submissions now open

I know there was a previous thread about this, just providing a bit more info, attachments and links.

Quote:
The Central West Astronomical Society is proud to announce that the submissions for the 2011 CWAS "David Malin Awards" are now open.

The deadline for entries is mid-night on Friday, 24 June 2011.

Entry fees are $15 per entry to help cover the costs of the printing,
mounting and framing of the winning images for the two exhibitions.

The theme for this year's Open Themed Section is "Australia Beneath the
Stars". The intention is to encourage people with vision and imagination,
using simple equipment, such as a tripod and ordinary camera, to make
attractive images that evoke the emotion and experience of the Australian
night sky.

For entry submissions and more information see:
http://www.parkes.atnf.csiro.au/news...astrofest/DMA/

The 2011 CWAS "David Malin Awards" are proudly supported by CSIRO's
Astronomy and Space Sciences, The Powerhouse Museum and Canon Australia.

Regards, John Sarkissian
2011 CWAS "David Malin Awards"
Good luck to everyone!

The official announcement and rules are attached as PDF's below.

Cheers

Great news, Anthony.

I bet John and David are going to be overwhelmed with conjunction entries this year.

Like Comet McNaught entries in 2007

For those that registered, how long did it take to receive the username/password via email?

It's been 2+ hours and I haven't received it yet.

(yes, I'm leaving it very late but have been too damn busy! )

Mine took nearly a day Mike. John is sorting this I think and it might pay to ring him. Yes you are leaving it a bit late.

I'm in the same boat as you, Mike.

If you do happen to call John, can you mention my account, too, please?
