The
counter argument to it all turned up a month or so after the initial paper.
The key notable aspect is that they all seem to agree there appears to be statistically valid circular patterns in the WMAP data, however they're all waiting for more data before they get too excited.
They're not prepared to state that the circular patterns constitute evidence of Penrose's alternative to the Standard Cosmological Model, just yet (despite the title of the journo article: "First Evidence Of Other Universes")
