William Optics Flattener Type IV (AFR-4 aka P-Flat4) - REDUCED!!!

$250.00 - includes registered / insured shipping to your door.

Hey guys

This flattener is not compatible with my Nikon D40 and ED80 refractor.

See my post if you want details: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=61975

They retail for $399.00 at Andrews Communications: http://www.andrewscom.com.au/site-section-10.htm

Specifications: http://www.williamoptics.com/accesso...4_features.php

I purchased it from William Optics direct on 20 April 2010, and it arrived a week later - so I haven't had her long

It was a demo item with a minor blemish, so it was / is cheaper for you and me.

Details of the blemish from williams were accurate, and are as follows: "very good condition, but has minior scratch on the lens surface. It does not affect flattener performance".

I then went on to confirm that it would be ok for imaging, and asked "do you guarantee that it will not be noticed, will not affect performance at all, and won't be noticed during long exposure photography", to which they replied "yes, the mark on the lens will not affect flattener performance".

Please confirm that this item will work with your scope. William Optics suggested that "we recommend the FlatIV for large aperture telescopes such as the M90, FLT98, 110, 132".

Will upload photos soon.

Cheers,

Logan

My comment only applies to the M90, I don't want to scare any potential buyer away, but the FF4 will only work with the Megrez90 currently sold by WO, earlier versions do not have enough in-focus.
White focuser body is OK(as in 1st pic)
Black focuser body.. no go(2nd pic)

Helpful details.

I recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for compatibilities. This is the safest bet.

Cheers.

Pictures as Promised

Update: the pictures show the very small line / blemish on the glass. It look like a small line of dust at the bottom right. According to William Optics it will not affect optical / imaging performance.

Price reduced as well, $270.00 shipped to your door.
