Cambroon 13/03/10

The Regular Cambroon night will hopefully start again on the 12th March
As all of South East Queensland was clouded out for the one in February lets hope we have better luck this time
I hope to see as many as we can make it up to Cambroon

Due to the amount of soaking rain we have had at Cambroon this month nearly 300 mm the ground has not had chance to dry out
Even if we have sunshine all day today and tomorrow the ground would not be firm enough so it is with regret that I will call off the Astro weekend for the 13th, but wait there is good news
The Moon the following Saturday 20/10/03 is only 18% lit and sets at Cambroon at around 19:30hr
I am extending the invitation for your attendance that weekend if you can make it, or weather permitting
I look forward to catching up with you all then

I haven't been up to your place before Ron, so would very much like to take you up on your invitation. Thanks.

Looks like Cyclone Ului might rain on your parade AGAIN Ron... The forecast yesterday read fine for the end of the week. Now it says a few showers every day for the next week.

G'day Ron. With the past 3 or 4 months of 'weather', there will be no excuses for equipment that has not been maintained to within an inch of its life. That's the problem with wet weather - it brings out the temptation to 'fix' stuff. Be interesting to see what everyone has 'fixed'.
Peter.

If I come I will be late Ron. I've got an open night at the Mapleton Observatory. All volunteers gratefully accepted.

The Cambroon Night for Saturday is still on
The last three nights have been good to brilliant till midnight.
I have just been outside and except for some small cloud south west is lovely
The ground is now firm again after a couple days of warm and breezy drying weather

Watched a beautiful sunset this afternoon, with crystal clear skies. I really should have gotten the scope out for a play, but got take-away with the wife and have knocked off a bottle of wine together. We were up with a vomiting child at midnight for about an hour last night...

Hope tomorrow is good for you all.

Cheers
