Purchased new in November 2008 from York Optical in Melbourne.
The mirror is quite good as far as I can tell from the star testing, you are more than welcome to star test it in South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
I lined the OTA interior with german black self-adhesive velour which increased image contrast quite significantly. You can see how black the inside of the tube is on the photographs below.
The telescope is in near-new condition (always kept inside).

- Skywatcher OTA with 8" mirror on a Dobsonian mount
- 2" Crayford focuser with with 1.25" adapter
- 9/50 finder scope
- 10mm and 25mm Plossl eyepieces (Brand new, never opened, from my 12" telescope)
- all plastic caps
