Comet Lulin from Sunshine Coast 24th Feb

Hi,

I tried to use my Phillips ToUcam to guide on the core of the comet but with only 1/25th could not bring up enough light. Single 5 minute shot through W/O 110 with some processing in PS.

Good one Mark! I also tried with the toucam but could see nothing even with the gain turned right up. Wonder if you could with something like a Orion Autoguider?
cheers Gary

Good one Mark. I didn't even bother with the high cloud around. I found I needed about 2 sec on the DMK when I autoguided on the comet the other week. But being naked eye I would have thought the ToUcam would have picked it up.

Nice shot Mark, and interesting thread about guiding on the comet. Was wondering same thing about Orion guider - my basic webcam certainly couldn't show it.

Nicely done, it would've been better to rotate the camera to pick up more of the tail?

Great job.
