hehehe I by chance stumbled apon it, though do remember im a off the side of the road man, there are a few cars and that stuffs your night vision but as you know in perth, all you can see is orion and a few other stars, not even the SMC or LMC. considering this where i was you could see both of them and 47 tuc..... with the naked eye. so ill deal with the wrecking of night vision for a 20 min drive
Its in Glen forrest along thomas road if i remember correctly somewhere around Bailey Road and Moola Road, but if you turn off of the GE Hwy at Hardey Rd onto Thomas Rd, travel down there for a few min on the left hand side just before a corner you will see like a gravel area much like a bus stop cut in. Few trees around but you have East - West reasonably clear and about 40 deg coverage by trees North and South, SCP is visable and so are the clouds.
My sons grandmah lives just down the road thats why i had the idea, to try and find a school oval or something like that so i could get out in the middle of
and in darker skys!
plus in the light pollution filter though google earth thats in the green/blue area. Happy days
