Yeah.. My First 900nc Moon

My very first ToUcam moon tonight. 12"LB and 2X barlow (about 3 meter FL). Scope cooled outside for 4 hours then allow crater to drift across FOV therefore only 10secs avi. About 50 frames stacked. Very happy considering my first attempt. Can't wait for a EQ platform. Please give me comments and advise how to improve. Thanks for looking

Nice work.

Once you get that EQ platform you'll be able to grab alot more frames, and have better useage of the frames.

Thanks Andrew,Paul & War bird for looking.
I know they are not good enough for this forum but they are my first & I got a bit excited so posted them anyway. Yes Paul, I can have a 12" Dob EQ platform custom made for my latitude from the US for about USD$750 including shipping. At the moment I am looking for a used one from NSW. Still looking.
Cheers

Hi Vincent,

yes, I must have seen the same website - that was the sort of price I had in mind. Although I did stumble across a site that wanted $2k+ for an EQP for a 12" dob . I thought I might take a serious look at making one. Need to do a bit more research though.

Cheers,
