Little PN and missing GC

Dear All
I noted an obscure GC on skymap so went looking for it as a challenge. It is called UKS0923-545
I read a viewing report that is was very diffuse and highly obscured but visible as a soft glow. I couldn't see anything so took an image of the region. The photo is 2 x 300 sec through my VC200l with a 40D and is 42arcmin wide.
I didn't see anything but there is a little PN called PK275- 2.2 visible in the middle of the image. The enlargement demonstrates it. I think it is cute as an incidental find.
There is a little cluster of stars about 8arcmins to the east (right in the image) of where the GC is suppose to be but I couldn't find any reference to it
In my images south is up and east to the right.

I think Scott alder uses the UK plates on line to confirm faint objects that are/are not listed. Though I cannot remember which ones?

Those are interesting and very nice images Terry.
I use http://archive.eso.org/dss/dss to look at DSS images.
The PN 275-02.2 is mag 13.3 and 14" across.
The GC doesn't show up on the DSS images.

I have also looked at the dss images and can't see the GC. However there is the little cluster arrowed below but I can't find a reference for it.

I really love images taken off the beaten track of not so well-known objects!

Having found UKS0923-545 in CdC I ended up googling it and found that in a 1980's ApJ paper it was re-classified from 'globular' to 'open' cluster.

Apparently Sinbad only recognises this object as UKS0923-54.5 (the dot is crucial), and if you feed this into any DSS-portal it returns an image of the very cluster at the end of your arrow...

Soo... even though the classification in skymap was wrong, as was its position as well as its label - I reckon you found what you were looking for.

Yes the arrow points to the GC now an OC.
Guide 8 says it is mag 13.

I reduced the image and fed the coordinates into VisieR and came up with the designation vdB-Hagen66
