Hand of Something !

This is an early attempt of mine at the Keyhole neb. Recent communication with Tornado33 about the !galaxy reminded me of a conversation with an astronomer about this circled object. It shows well on HST images.
Has anybody with long FL gear tried for it?
I have just figured the "running man" a term I first met in this forum. Are there other oddities to be imaged or newcommers educated about?

There are lots of oddities out there.

The one you mention above is known as the 'Fickle Finger of Fate'.

I have tried to image it but I can't get close enough.

Here are 2 Hubble images of it

Actually when this cloud and Moon rack off, you have given me a new challenge, Jeff! I'll rip out the Focal Reducer, pop in the Barlow and see if I can get it.

This is about the best I have imaged it so far:

Ah, yes. God's message to His universe. I call it the "God Finger". That object is a great favorite of mine.
