Russian made Intes 6" Maksutov MK-65 model
I've had this scope for about a year and a half now but only had it out less than 10 times. I was going to use it for dabbling in a bit of planetary imaging but I simply don't have the time and it does not look like I will either in the foreseeable future. The scope has been sitting in its box for many months now, so time to let her go I think.
Comes with:
* 1.25" helical focuser - no image shift but limited travel (shorty barlows only).
* camera adapter with focusing capability (use with T-ring for your camera)
* Japanese EQ mount with counterweight and alloy tripod
* RA motor drive and controller
* snug-fit full aperture solar filter (home made with Baader film)
* original 6x30 finder (all metal Russian made)
* plossl eyepieces 25 and 10mm (Skywatcher Silver-tops)
* carry case with shoulder strap
* original instruction manual (for scope and mount)
All the optics is fixed rigid - never needs collimating. Star test shows good collimation. There is no movable mirror like there is with many other Cassegrains.
Optics is great, scope works well, some minor cosmetic marks on the exterior (on the grey paint). Typical Russian gear: the scope is built pretty solid and tough. Built in 1994.
I will post photos when I get around to it.
Pick up / drop off preferred but can be posted if need be at considerable expense to you and considerable hassle for me.
$900 firm + postage if applicable.
