Vacation

I'm going on Vacation, tomorrow to the Ocean in Wildwood, NJ. Some of you may know it, others may not.

I'm wondering, since it's the ocean, should I get minimal light pollution when looking out at the horizon? If so I'm going to set it on the horizon & stack like crazy.

Jeez Ingo - I've been to Wildwood and remember it as a really densly-populated area. I wasn't there to think in astronomy terms though, so I don't remember, perse, what the sky over the ocean heading east looked like at night. You'd still have a hell of a glow behind you though I'd imagine! Anyways - enjoy your vacation

Cheers
Chris

Yes, I should have a nice glow behind me, but looking out at the horizon over the ocean...it should be pretty empty besides a few boats maybe. I wonder if I'd get a lot of glow from the shore. I'm not going to wildwood for astronomy, but I am bringing my camera & a tripod, so why not try to do some wide field astrophotography on the horizon?

Thanks
