Steamfest - travel from yesteryear

Taken 20 April 2007 very late in the afternoon/evening (was after 5pm) with the Pentax K10D and my 50-500 lens at Warabrook station from the pedestrian overbridge, two mighty steam trains, the 3801 and the 3830, racing head to head. The noise, the smells the smoke, was a great time.

Taken near Baisha SW China. These awesome power machines are single cylinder Diesels and are ubiquitous in rural China.

Half a Mini

While working in the UK in 2001 I took this picture of a cutaway section of a Mini at the London Science Museum in South Kensington. This will make you think of what some of us drove around in back when. I spent nearly a whole day at the museum and didn't see everything, a great place to visit whilst in England. Your wife/partner/kids et al can shop at Harrods down the road while you take it all in.

Puffless Billy

So many choices, but here's an old pre-loved steam tractor in the forest.

Taken April 11, 2007 with the Oly C5060WZ.

Members of the Ulysses Motorcycle Club regularly stop for coffee at Yowie Park Kilcoy. This was one of many trikes that were travelling in convoy on the 5th of May this year.
Inside the little caravan was a small dog and a budgie in a cage.

This was our transport when we went on our Venus Transit Expedition in Western Australia in 2004. The (product placement) Britz camper was the best vehicle I had ever used on one of my/our roadtrips. Even better than "Mainsequence" the ex-ambulance we used to own. Wish I owned either one now... but not the rego and fuel costs.

Dr WHO

I had the chance to walk around at The Rocks in Sydney last night.
Couldn't believe my eyes as I turned the corner at the old police station, what do I see ???

The TARDIS, from the Doctor WHO series, the handiest piece of transport ever made !
The Doctor must have stopped in for a quick scooner down there !

Nothing special photographically speaking but you should have seen the loook on this guys face, He wondered why this westerner seemed so interested in him doing something which he probably does everyday. I call this "Re-cycle...cycle"
