Heres my Ghost of Jupiter, I was really surprised how well this turned out given that it was a single shot. The original shot has huge amount of structure. And; it is my first planetary!

Yeah there is a central star in my image and it is more pronounced in the original uncompressed image. This was a nice little treat.

Nice one Paul - your image highlights how subtle the "eye" structure is visually against the "background" disk through mid to large apertures. Glad you liked the surprise...that's why I chose it

Really nice Paul, lovely structure to that shot and you can definitely see why they call it the "CBS Eye".

Excellent image Paul. The colours are spot-on and detail in the nebula easily visible. Well done!

Apologies to Tornado (scott), I deleted one post too many.

Tony, please don't post that stuff in here.. this is for serious imaging not photoshop magic.

Here's my Ghost of Jupiter (with canon 300D and C 8 NGT)-image acquired some weeks ago and reprocessed yesterday.

I was stoked when I prepared to take the shots, as there was a real bright guide star nearby, well placed for my off axis guider, so it was nice and easy for a change to do the guiding, rather than on real faint ones as the off axis guider does produce guide stars with coma due to their being well off axis.
