ZWO ASI 224MC + UV/IR blocking window

ZWO ASI 224MC perfect sweet spot for affordable planetary imaging, with all accessories and original packaging. I've replaced the anti-reflective window with a special UV/IR blocking version as this blocking is essential for proper colour balance with this camera, obviating the need for an extra filter.

$290 pickup or +$10 postage in Australia.

How would this perform on DSOs for near-real-time? Or is this oinly going to be good for planetary? I have a 6 inch SCT.
Cheers,

Hi Dean,

I use zwo 224mc for eaa currently. Its got a really sensitive sensor. I use a 0.5 focal reducer with my celestron 6se and I can stack the images in near real time via sharpcap.

Depending on the object i use around 300-350 gain and up to 5-6seconds max for exposure.

Hope it helps.

All okay, got your message. By default I think it doesn't save your sent messages unless you manually click on the option.

Cheers,
Con
