The chance arose a couple of weeks ago for another cheapie-ish PST which I snappped up for playing with. Here's the result! I tune one for prominences and one for faculae. Impressive
the first two pics show the IPD adjustment - I can go from about 54mm to 100mm
Aligning is fairly easy - either a Allen key between the two when you set up or just by looking through them. Odd that they are not both anywhere near the same size (or shape even)... tolerances I guess but I seem to have the maximum and the minimum scopes
I imagine though that the Howie Glator model has all the bells and whistles , like adjustable collimation etc.
Do you find the view of surface features significantly enhanced with it? My experience with the PST showed it had avery low satisfactory magnification range and I thought it would really be enhanced in binocular mode.
