first images with Canon 400D

Went out lastnight to try some imaging with my 200mm lens and the 400D, was limited to 30s seconds (no release cable) and f5.4 and rough polar alignment. I still think It did pretty well, obviously need some work done on my techniques but its a start.

Is an el'cheapo 80-200mm EF lens... not the best for this kind of work, will play some more....

Looks like a good lens, note the sharp coma free stars on the orion pic.
