Diopter lens for eyepieces?

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if it is possible to buy diopter correction lenses for eyepieces so that I don't need to use glasses?

I never thought I needed to wear my glasses for viewing but now I find I can't keep the image in focus for more than a second or two without them.

But I hate using them for viewing.

I have seen Televue's Dioptrix however these also fix astigmatism which I don't have. Do they make a version without the astigmatism part.

I guess what I'm looking for is a small lens to put over the eyepiece instead of my glasses which would allow me to get much closer to the eyepiece and negate the need for huge eye relief EPs.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Cheers

Dave.

PS. I love my new 14mm Meade UWA s4000 !

hmmm

If its not possible to buy such a device I thought that I could get my optomitrist to grind me a small round lens with my perscrition which I could mount ontop of my eyepiece.

Does anyone know if this would work?
