Old DIY Mount

Hi all. Hope this is the right forum for this post.

I was recently holding a small star party at a friend's place, and one of the attendees arrived with what he thought (correctly) was a mount, salvaged from council clean-up day.

It strikes me as a nice well-made thing from good materials, so I don't want to just toss it.

It is of no use to him, as he has no scope. It is of no use to me as a) it is clearly built for a specific (long gone) scope, and b) I lack the handy skills to make use of it.

So, I'm putting it up as free to a good home.

It consists of a base, a swivelling upper section, and a central post with a handle. Photos attached (sorry about the quality, I'm a dud photographer).

I'll take a first-come first served approach, unless someone comes up with a really good reason to jump the queue (eg, I have the actual original scope). If I get no interest, it will become firewood.
