m42 with Nikon D610

Hi team,

Excited to grab 1 hours worth of data still between clouds, distant lighting and 300% humidity.

I have had this camera a short time and I love the detail it pulls from the sea of darkness. Mind you a little upset we cant grab sensor temps on the Nikon cams, but I think my cold box is working well all said and done. (box temp of 10 degrees)

Thanks for viewing this image, still miles off where I want to be at. Given the little spare time I have, I'm glad I got my astro fix for now.

Clear skies to all!!

Great job. What kind of cold box are you using, and do you get any problem
with fogging up?

Just a custom made one Raymo, drops it down to around 10 degrees. Ill link a picture if I find it. I just ended up making a dew strap with resistors, seems to work a treat for the coma corrector cheers.

Thanks Bob, I was happy with the data considering the light pollution here My constant battle is good polar alignment and precise collimation.

Thanks Pat, all the equipment I use is a neq6 pro on a solid pier, newton 8 inch f5, BackyardNikon, Orion auto guilder/PHD, D610 Nikon, baader mpcc and custom made cooling box. Data all processed with pixinsight and only very basic knowledge of processing skills. http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/a...e.php?a=193772
