Explore Scientific 28mm 68degree 2"

Eyepiece glass in an excellent condition. Eyepiece missing rubber grip in the middle of its body. $140 plus shipping.

Hi Tom,

There looks to be some damage to the body above the "D" of "PURGED". I think I can see a screw. Can you elaborate?

Hi Morton,

I bought the eyepiece new from Agena astro, used it few times and then it spent couple years in the cupboard. After your comment I had a good look at the eyepiece, there's no damage just a sealed screw. However when I Google the images of the eyepiece they seem to have a rubber grip in the middle of the body. I never notice until today that this one doesn't. I will update my original ad to reflect that and drop the price.

Ah, I see. ES must have changed the body styling at some point. I know their original 82º eyepieces look quite different from the current ones. I'm guessing this is just an earlier version of the 28mm 68º.
