I have decided to get rid of my deep sky imaging rig as it is all getting very little use and I am pursuing other hobbies, namely quadcopters.
I bought the HEQ5 from LewisM mid November last year and had big plans that never eventuated. Handset is version 3.35. I have also installed the belt mod from Rowan Astronomy (

I have misplaced one of the bolts that tighten the dovetail to the puck, I have been using one from my astrotrac but this will not be included.
The polar scope cap has a crack in it as well but still attaches securely to the head. I have also had an extension bar made up by fellow IIS user OneOfOne that will be included in the sale as well. Will also come with 2 x 5.1kg counterweights.
Also up for sale is my GSO 8" f5 1000mm newtonian.
I have not taken it out to dark skies, only tested it once in my back yard after buying it from fellow IIS member Marios early this year.
It includes the stock 2 speed crayford focuser and I will also include a farpoint dew shield and bahtinov mask with 1.25" eyepiece adapter, finderscope, vixen style dovetail and tube rings.
The previous owner also installed a dew heater band on the secondary as well. This means the original cap does not fit on the end of the scope but a showercap does the trick, can also supply original cap if requested.
Lastly I have an Orion ST-80 OTA that comes in its own Craftright case also purchased from Marios as well, the inside of the scope has been lined with felt to reduce internal reflections. Also comes with extension tube so you can reach focus with an Orion SSAG.
I prefer to sell these items as a package and I am looking for $1200.
