New ultra black nanotube material proposed for telescope flocking

Bridie Smith, in an article in today's Sydney Morning Herald, describes
a nanotube material developed by Surrey NanoSystems trademarked Vantablack
that is claimed to absorb all but 0.035% of visual light.

It is suggested that the material could be used for flocking of telescope
optics.

A description of the material appears in the journal Optics Express.
