Hans VB Wedge

Hello All,

I don't know if I'm allowed because I'm only new to this forum but I just thought I'd let you know if your interested, I belong to The Wollongong Amateur Astronomy Club and one of our members has built a number of Polar Wedges based on the Meade Superwedge design.

I have purchased one for my backyard observatory and I'm very happy with it. (As you can see from my thumbnail I am in need of one.)

If you are interested or would like to have a look please follow this link.

Yeah thanks mate, just thought I'd re-rattle a couple of cages as he now has a temp web site set up with more images and contact details direct to Hans himself.

Are these still available and how does it compare with the Meade Ultrawedge?

Hi Fahim,
As far as I know he has a couple left, he is apparently on holidays and won't be back for a couple more weeks. I will email him and let him know of your interest.

Paul

What size scope are you going to sit on it?

I have the LX90 8" and wondered if perhaps he has a Ultrawedge clone as its more stable than the superwedge. I have the standard wedge, yet to try that out. More so they query was for my mate.

Fahim
