Nova Centauri 2013 50mm

My distance vision must be stuffed. Tried as hard as I could but was unable to spot it visually.

Anyway a couple of filtered pics, one with a CLS and one with a semi-apo filter. The Ha neb on the lower right is IC2944 the running chicken.

Nice one Kevin, haven't been able to get a picture of it yet, hopefully there will still be something left tomorrow morning.

Thanks guys. I never got an unfiltered shot without cloud, but here it is anyway.

I don't think it's necessarily faded, I think this lens makes everything a tiny dot, except for the edges where I should have stopped down more to stop streaking.

This is one case where bloated stars may actually make it more aesthetically pleasing! I have an old deep sky filter which bloats stars. If fine I should try it tomorrow to see if it helps.
