Not much detail in this one, but still very pleased to get another image of it.

Hi Ray

Although I can see some of the effects of the poorer seeing, by golly, that is still a mighty fine image of the ringed planet!

Cheers

thanks Dennis. It was frustrating to stack the data - I could see occasional glimpses of detail, but there was not enough for the software to lock onto properly.

Thanks Asi. tried some additional processing with Pixinsight to try to overcome some of the worst faults. some aspects of the software seemed to be useful for marginal data.

Well done Ray, reckon your processing should be commended for being so sympathetic to the level of seeing. It would have been only too easy to overcook this in a vain attempt to extract detail that the conditions just just didn't support.

Very Well Done.

Trevor

Nice one Ray - good to see the shadow back on the rings after opposition.

thanks Trevor - yep, it's always a temptation to try too hard - done it often, but there is no point if the detail is just not there.

Hi Tom, yes it is nice to follow the progression of the planet.

Thank Paul. Getting a bit sick of the jetstream and cloud cover playing "your turn" - it was nice to get a slight break from the worst effects of both.

regards ray
