M104

The Sombrero Galaxy.
Imaged through my ED127 using the CDS1100D.
1hr and 40min of data shot at ISO800.
Methinks it's going to take a few more hours of data to start bringing out the detail on the surface of the galaxy. But it's a start and I'm really pleased with how the scope is performing.
This is a 100% crop.

Very nice, jjj! One of my favourite targets.

Did you ever happen to shoot M104 through your RC8? I'm curious how it compares to your ED127.

+1 Very nicely done. Did you barlow the scope or is it a crop?

Thanks everyone.
No barlow was used, but you have me thinking now of getting out the 2"Big Barlow and see how it goes with that.
No, I didn't try this target with the RC8. I don't think I did anyway. I'll check through my files.

Really like the framing JJJ. It's a tough object to get detail.

Nice one JJJ, you've really preserved the core well and even got a couple of the brightest globulars around M104. Thanks for the view
