Port Willunga Panstarrs

Hi. I got down to Pt. Willunga S.A last night. I remembered there was this old jetty down there and hoped it would be it the same frame as L4 Panstarrs.
Taken with the Nifty fifty lens @ f/4, 8 sec single exp, iso 1600 and 500D with tripod.
Thanks for looking.

Steve.

I was going to do the exact same thing but I got held up at home and only could image from Windy point. Wish I had done what I originally had intended now. This is a lovely shot.

Thanks Paul. It might be a goer tomorrow night. I set up about 20 meters North of the pylons to get the comet over the top of them. I'm thinking of heading up to the Uni tonight to see Alex C do a presentation

That would be a bonus Lewis. For now I would like to see if I can maybe get any more out of it or of the others I took and print it out for myself I haven't done one yet and am keen to get one up on the wall. Tbh, I wouldn't know where to start to try and sell something like this.
Thanks for loving it

Colours, composition, detail, movement, and astronomical interest all perfect, in one shot.

Excellent! Definitely one of the best.

Personally I find the bit do black wood?) partly off-shot far left distracting so would crop it out.

Great shot

What a great shot. I have had cloudy skies and floods for over a month now. Thanks for sharing. Colin (Ipswich)

Thanks Colin. We have been lucky with the skies lately although it has clouded over now, just about to pop the head out for a look. I hope the skies clear for you and you can grab a last minute look.

Well Steve due to the weather here I have not yet seen either of the two current standout comets. So your pic is very much appreciated its a ripper you should send it to an Astronomy Mag or photo mag so more people can enjoy it.
Cheers Derek
