Hi, would this unit be any good for AP I have a 9.25 SCT and Canon 450D. I would be looking at using the 450D on this unit, would it give nice images and if so what length of exposure do you think I may get out of it?
Yes, suitable for AP. have used it myself with Pentax K10D (DSLR) which I believe is slightly heavier - just a matter of ensuring the counterbalances are adjusted according to the additional weight. Used for up to 5 min exposures on Auto-tracking with minimal trailing, but like all AP, the shorter the exposures and more you take the better your final stacked image will be anyway. Haven't used the scope for AP since my last laptop crashed and burned, so no photos to share - but it can be done quite easily with this scope.
All still for sale. Will either sell together for $1000, or separately with the OTA for $700 and mount/tripod $400. Plus postage. No lower so please don't waste my time in trying.
